Our hip, wired government put up an entire web site regarding the stimulus act. It even has a little video where the President reads a script to you for a minute and 22 seconds. I like it better when he talks unscripted, but hey, it’s still cool having the President talk straight to you on your computer monitor.
We’re deep into the future here. Too bad it’s gotten kinda bleak.
The web site’s boring, but it does break down the numbers a little. For instance $288 billion is going to tax relief. That’s the largest hunk of the whole thing. Another big chunk is going to the states. I’m sure a small chunk is coming to me, too, but I haven’t quite found it yet. The thing about tax cuts is, they just don’t do much for you when you don’t have a job.
