Don’t tell them you have ugly feet

by Avenger on February 12, 2009

I was watching this TV thing on the web where people tell you what not to do in an interview. And you know, interviewers always ask if you have any weaknesses or what your worst weakness is, that stupid question they use to torture you during an interview. (Correct Answer: My greatest weakness is that my amazing productivity seems to intimidate my coworkers.)

Anyway, this lady said she asked it, and the person she was interviewing said, “I have ugly feet.”

So the lady didn’t offer the job. Not so much because she doesn’t like people with ugly feet, but apparently because she doesn’t like people who admit they have ugly feet.

Or maybe I missed the point, but I thought I’d pass it along as a key bit of advice, because as you know, your feet get uglier after fifty. So unless you absolutely have to, don’t bring them up during an interview.

very funny … thanks

i will definitely not disclose the nature of my multiple deformities especially my feet. (teeth, elbows, hair, lack of, too much, and other unmentionables) are to be denied completely, to oneself especially.
